On September 27, 2025, the AESARA Foundation took a leading role in strengthening North Carolina’s disaster preparedness by serving as a major donor sponsor of the inaugural NC Disaster Search Dog Development Workshop. This volunteer-led training marked an important step toward creating state-certified disaster canine teams—an essential resource to save lives and support communities in future emergencies.
Beyond financial support, AESARA team members actively volunteered on-site, helping coordinate logistics, play the role of disaster victims, and contribute to the success of the event. Their presence reflected AESARA’s commitment to resilience, community preparedness, and practical solutions that have lasting impact.
All sponsorship funds directly supported the event’s operations—covering critical supplies, safety equipment, and training materials. Any remaining resources are being directed to ongoing recovery work in Western North Carolina communities affected by Hurricane Helene.
